“I felt weird, fuzzy, disoriented,light-headed, dizzy…
About 6 months ago I went to the Dr. about this weird feeling I get sometimes. It’s very hard to explain, he asked if I felt light-headed and I said no, more like dizzy.
The more I think about it though, the more I realize, maybe I do feel light-headed. A couple times I felt like I would pass out, and I was slightly nauseous once, and I just feel weird. I feel kinda disoriented and sort of in a dream like state.
It happens sometimes every day and lasts all day or maybe just a few minutes. Sometimes nothing will happen for a few days and then its back.
When I told my doctor that he took my blood pressure then and there and it registered at 168/113. My doctor looked at me and told me something that still sends chills down my spine.
My Doctor told me I was in danger of having a stroke.
The Facts Are Alarming
According to the CDC:
- First heart attack: About 7 of every 10 people having their first heart attack have high blood pressure.
- First stroke: About 8 of every 10 people having their first stroke have high blood pressure.
- Chronic (long lasting) heart failure: About 7 of every 10 people with chronic heart failure have high blood pressure.
- Kidney disease is also a major risk factor for high blood pressure.
